Revamping Darwin: Enhancing Tools for SafeStreets Representatives
Overview
In 2019, I rebranded my first iOS application, Darwin. This app was designed to assist SafeStreets representatives by providing tools to track customer progress, explore assigned territories, and verify customer information seamlessly.
What I learned
When designing an application for iOS, creativity is key, but maintaining focus on a streamlined design is equally critical. This becomes especially important when the app needs to serve multiple entities or user types. By keeping the interface intuitive and minimizing unnecessary complexity, you ensure that the design remains adaptable while catering to diverse needs.
What I would improve
To improve the application’s design, I would enhance the color contrast to ensure better readability and accessibility. Additionally, resizing the representative photos to be more compact would allow for more content to be visible on the screen without overwhelming the user.
