Building a Dashboard and Checkout Process for Seamless Bill Payments
Overview
In this project, I developed a dashboard that streamlines the checkout process, enabling customers to easily pay their bills. The dashboard is fully integrated with Salesforce and our API, ensuring that clients always have access to the most current information regarding their accounts.
What I learned
Collaborating with stakeholders and receiving wireframes was a pivotal experience for me. It underscored the importance of clearly defining the project’s scope to set accurate expectations. Building on this, I developed a customer journey flow and crafted a visual design in Adobe XD to illustrate the user experience which has lead to a smoother development process.
What I would improve
This project faced an extended timeline due to unforeseen API issues. While this delay impacted our schedule, we prioritized transparent communication with the business. We ensured they understood the reasons behind the delay and highlighted the value we’re delivering in the interim until the product launches.
